Tottenham’s third pre-season friendly of the summer, against Ranges at Ibrox Stadium, will feature a familiar starting XI named by Antonio Conte. Spurs are back in action in Glasgow after their pre-season tour of South Korea and matches against Team K-League and Sevilla. Conte’s squad includes several returning players as they take on Scottish giants Rangers for the first time since 2004. In a Tottenham side that resembles the one that finished last season, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min start up front with Dejan Kulusevski. Yves Bissouma and Fraser Forster, who had to return from Seoul later than the rest of the team after testing positive for Covid early in the tour, have travelled with the squad for the first time, and Ivan Perisic is on the bench for the first time. Conte stated last week that the 33-year-old Croatian would get his first minutes in a Tottenham shirt against the Glaswegian outfit. Tottenham has a new injury problem for Antonio Conte as six players miss the trip to face Rangers. Spurs’ most recent additions Djed Spence and Clement Lenglet have traveled to Glasgow and are among the substitutes, hoping to make their club’s friendly debut. Following his illness, Joe Rodon returns to the squad and sits on the bench. Six Spurs players remained at Hotspur Way and did not travel to Scotland with the squad. Ben Davies is out due to an ankle injury sustained in Korea, which could put him in doubt for the Premier League opener against Southampton. Oliver Skipp has also been ruled out of the trip to Scotland due to a minor injury unrelated to the pelvic problem that ended his season prematurely last time. Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, Sergio Reguilon, and Harry Winks, the quartet who were left behind on the Korea tour, have all returned to England as the quartet seeks moves away from the club. The Spurs lineup and substitutes for their match against the Rangers are as follows: Lloris; Romero, Dier, Sanchez; Royal, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Sessegnon; Kulusevski, Kane, Son; Kulusevski, Kane, Son. Forster, Austin, Spence, Doherty, Tanganga, Rodon, Lenglet, Perisic, Sarr, Bissouma, Gil, Lucas, Richarlison are the substitutes.
