James Maddison of Leicester City is being pursued by Tottenham Hotspur.
Regarding the potential interest of Tottenham Hotspur in Leicester City midfielder James Maddison, Paul O’Keefe made an intriguing claim on Twitter (h/t Football.London).
After transferring from Norwich City to Leicester City in 2018, Maddison has consistently improved. The 25-year-old has been one of the Premier League’s top playmakers outside of the traditional big-six clubs for the previous four seasons.
They are taking James Madison very seriously.

Last season, he had his greatest season to date, scoring 18 goals and dishing out 12 assists across all competitions. Leicester managed to finish eighth despite having a poor season by the high standards they have established in recent years owing to a late push, with Maddison playing a big part. They also advanced to the semifinals of the UEFA Conference League.
Spurs are creating noises in the transfer market to back manager Antonio Conte, and when Djed Spence is formally introduced as the newest member, they will have made their sixth big acquisition of the season. Spurs, however, don’t have any immediate intentions to stop.
They appear to be searching for a new creative midfielder, and in the coming weeks they may raid the Foxes in an effort to capture star playmaker Maddison. Spurs are reportedly actively exploring a summer transfer for the English playmaker, 25, according to recent reports.
In action for Leicester City is James Maddison.
However, none of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp, Yves Bissouma, or Rodrigo Bentancur are particularly well-known for their attacking tendencies. The north Londoners have a lot of choices in the midfield region. Conversely, Maddison is well known for his ability to design plays and produce offensively.
As a right-midfielder, second striker, and even right forward last season, Maddison—often referred to as a No. 10—demonstrated his adaptability. The 25-year-old is an excellent creative who moves skillfully in half-spaces to create possibilities for goals.
He is particularly difficult to contain when he is in full flow because to his movement, ball control, and ability to pick out a pass. His presence would make Harry Kane’s job easier because they could share some playmaking duties with the now-Leicester great.
James Maddison is the aim of Tottenham.
Spurs vs. Sevilla, according to Erik Lamela, is a great matchup.
Mikael Silvestre: Next season, Tottenham Hotspur will edge out Arsenal for fourth place.
Tottenham Hotspur may lose out to Arsenal in the race to recruit Josko Gvardiol.
It is unclear, though, whether the Foxes would be willing to offload one of their great players who is at the height of his abilities, and whether Spurs would take steps to formally express any interest in Maddison.
