According to reports, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is already considering four possible replacements for Antonio Conte if the Italian is fired in the coming weeks.
Spurs are currently fifth in the Premier League and have advanced to the round of 16 in the Champions League. However, all is not well at the club, and a growing number of fans are dissatisfied with the Italian tactician.
Indeed, Tottenham’s 2-0 loss to Arsenal on Sunday demonstrated a significant gap in class, and it was the club’s fourth home defeat in just ten games this season.
And, with the supporters’ trust writing to Levy to express their displeasure with the club’s current direction, it appears that all is not well for Tottenham. They are now five points behind Manchester United in fourth place. With a trip to Manchester City on the horizon, Conte’s situation may worsen before it improves.
Conte’s contract at Tottenham is set to expire in the summer. He has repeatedly stated that he may leave the club, with his most recent hint coming a fortnight ago.
As a result, between now and the end of the season, Levy will have plenty of time to think about Conte’s future at Tottenham.
Indeed, the Daily Express claims that the Spurs chairman already has four viable options in place in the event of a split.

Former manager Mauricio Pochettino is at the top of Levy’s wish list.

During his five years at the helm, the Argentine did wonders. After leading them to the 2019 Champions League, he was fired just a few months later due to an unexpected loss of form.
He has since returned to PSG after a lengthy sabbatical. However, Pochettino’s reign as manager lasted only 18 months, as he left the Ligue 1 giants in the summer.
He has since been linked with Chelsea and West Ham as potential replacements for Graham Potter and David Moyes, both of whom are under pressure.
He has, however, always expressed his affection for Tottenham. And if he feels he has unfinished business in north London, he could return to the club.
Pochettino, however, is not the only option that the report claims Levy is considering.
Furthermore, the Express claims that former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, whom Pochettino succeeded at PSG, could be considered.
Todd Boehly cruelly dismissed the German earlier this season at Chelsea. However, their current shape suggests that the American made the wrong decision.
He will be remembered at Stamford Bridge for leading Chelsea to Champions League glory.
He also seemed to enjoy life in London and would return there if the right opportunity arose.

Tottenham is also considering two surprise names.

According to the report, another German coach, Joachim Low, is also being considered by Tottenham.
He led Germany to World Cup victory in 2014 and will remain in charge until 2021. Low, now 62, has been out of work since England’s 2-0 victory over Germany at Euro 2020. As a result, his hiring by the Spurs would come as a surprise.

Another former international coach, Luis Enrique, is said to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Following Spain’s World Cup elimination by Morocco, the former Barcelona coach stepped down as coach.
Already being considered as a possible replacement for Diego Simeone, who is under pressure at Atletico Madrid. As a result, Enrique is unlikely to be unemployed for long.

It remains to be seen whether a move to Tottenham would entice him.

During his three years in charge at the Nou Camp, he did, however, win nine trophies. As such, he could be regarded as a wise choice for Levy.
