Tottenham Hotspur have long been linked with a move for Milan Skriniar, and journalist Rudy Galetti has provided an update.
The Inter Milan defender is nearing the end of his contract. Spurs manager Antonio Conte has always been interested in him, having worked with him and won the Scudetto at the San Siro.
A transfer this month is unlikely, but Tottenham could land him in the summer.

During the summer transfer window, both Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain were heavily linked with a move for Milan Skriniar, who was in the final year of his contract. Skriniar was even promised to Kylian Mbappe, according to GFFN.
No move materialised in the end, but just 10 days ago, Ben Jacobs revealed on Last Word On Spurs that Tottenham and PSG are both still interested in signing the defender, who has been branded as ‘monumental’.
The journalist, however, claimed that the centre-back would prefer to join the French champions over Spurs. Galetti has now made an entirely different claim. He claims Skriniar has yet to sign a new contract with Inter Milan because he is awaiting an offer from Spurs.
“It will take a few days to decide his future,” the journalist said on 1 Station Radio, according to Tutto Juve. He’s wasting time trying to figure out how likely a transfer to Tottenham, a club in need of a central defender, is.
“The English also like Kim and Bastoni; the Slovak is more attractive because of his expiring contract. It will take a few more days to learn about Milan’s future.”

TBR Opinion: Tottenham’s defensive flaws were on full display last night.
It is unheard of for a Conte team to concede four goals in a single half, but that is exactly what happened last night as Manchester City came from behind to win 4-2.
Spurs require defensive reinforcements if they are to advance to the next level, and Skriniar would be an excellent addition to their squad. The Slovakian’s availability on a free transfer makes him an even more appealing option.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the coming months, but Tottenham should get Skriniar.
